Technology Control Automation Lead
Whippany, NJ

The VP Technology Control Automation Lead will support the Head of Technology Controls & Governance within the Cards Platform to ensure automated controls are built into strategy change initiatives, ensure tight coordination across other technology organizations, and to be a control partner to operations groups across Cards Platform Transaction Cycle.
Cards Platform is entering a strong growth phase requiring both strong execution and forward planning to accommodate growth and navigate competing priorities. The VP Technology Control Automation Lead will ensure we are building in automated business and technology controls to allow for this growth.

What will you be doing?

*Analyze application and business processes; identify control deficiencies and automation improvements, assess feasibility, and validation deployed improvements.
*Assist in designing and implementing control solutions that have been selected to move forward to ensure the benefits of these solutions are realized; Assure control is seen across the organization as an enabler, rather than blocker.
*Identify operational risk areas and unlock Enterprise challenges by applying customer-centric approach to finding solutions.
*Engage with C-level executives to define and execute on Enterprise-wide strategies.
*Assist in defining enterprise operating models and drive buy-in across complex organizational structures
*Solicit feedback from enterprise customers and influence the design of future platform iterations
*Identify current market technology trends relevant to the development of new digital platforms and gain knowledge on selected technologies, in order to develop, communicate, and implement business solutions aligned with Barclaycard' strategy.
*Define and execute on the strategy by engaging technical teams (Technical Account Managers, Professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners)
*Assess existing control design and operational effectiveness and conduct independent risk review to determine root causes, identify issues and monitor remedial actions that mitigate risk.
*Develop and manage strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external departments to build, drive and formalize strategic projects, site strategies;
*Proactively anticipate customer needs, investigate underlying issues and create short and long-term solutions.

What we're looking for:

*10+ years of experience in financial services, FinTech or relevant experience in data management and technology
*3+ years of IT audit or risk management in financial services
*Professional Risk and Control Certification: CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP

Skills that will help you in the role:

*Working knowledge of US Regulations
*Strong analytical background and ability to translate data into insights
*Experience with building and managing cross- functional teams to drive change and facilitate decision making
*Experience of working across multi-discipline, globally dispersed teams and able to contribute to the strategic direction of the business
*Experience of influencing a wide network of colleagues, many at very senior levels, without direct line management control to deliver objectives and action plans as a senior individual contributor
