Your tasks and responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Associate Director Medical Affairs Analgesics, are to: Provide strategic planning, guidance and implementation of innovation programs, including clinical development programs, to support and drive the development of claims and new products for existing and new OTC brands; Develop and manage relationships with leading local and international opinion leaders required for brand development and positioning; Effectively communicate scientific data with marketing/sales as well as technical groups in identifying scientific insights, educating and influencing decision makers regarding business opportunities; Serve as a primary contact with Health Authorities regarding medical/clinical issues and is a point person for representing Consumer Care in external and internal forums related to specific category activity. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: Advanced degree in related scientific field, with such as MD, PhD or PharmD,6+ years of experience in clinical research and development or medical affairs in analgesics or related businesses; Good understanding of key pre-clinical and clinical trial design elements, including statistical considerations, operations and interpretation of these activities as well as regulatory requirements; Thorough knowledge of scientific information, ability to interpret and assimilate scientific data, and thought leader development skills; Strong communications skills, oral and written, as well as managerial and interpersonal skills.
