Accomplishes job duties in a timely, safe, and professional manner. Procedures which may be required of the personal care worker include (but are not limited to) any combination of the following: performing housekeeping tasks as directed; making beds, changing and laundering linens; preparing meals and assisting with eating as required; grocery shopping; cleaning stove; defrosting refrigerator; accompanying patient to physician or clinic via taxi; vacuuming and dusting; cleaning bathrooms; assisting with personal care such as bathing, hair care, assistance with dressing, and routine skin care; assisting with toileting such as ambulation to and from bathroom, assistance with relation to bowel and bladder, and bedpan or urinal routines; assisting with simple ambulation. All procedures are carried out in accordance with standard precautions.
Assures client's satisfaction with care received, by meeting client needs within reason and consistent with the goals of the program, and by advising supervisor of requests which cannot be met or of conditions which are unsafe.
Acts as a dependable caregiver by providing services when scheduled, communicating promptly to Agency and client any schedule change, and completing and submitting required paperwork accurately and on time.
