In need of an Active Directory focused Systems Engineer for a SaaS client on the Eastside. Summary: The main function of a Systems Engineer is to perform a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment, providing investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure. Story Behind Need: Team: Identity and Access Administration Team, management engineer, responsible for maintaining active directory and user accounts along with permissions and OKTA and their accounts A lot of ticket work and helping users that are having problems with their accounts Active Directory Engineer Typical Day in Role: Job Responsibilities: Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment to the specifications of the business Maintain software applications and operating systems through regular maintenance Maintain configuration and support documentation Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives Supervise the administration of systems and servers to ensure availability of services to authorized users Maintain multi-site network operations, software applications, operating systems through regular maintenance Troubleshoot malfunctions of hardware, software applications and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services In this role you will be responsible for the following: Actively participate on internal projects and collaborate with non-technical colleagues in a dynamic team. Help design and maintain products supporting our IAM program Perform day-to-day Microsoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting. Drive infrastructure as code - configuration management, automation concepts, and scripting to automate and monitor tasks. Maintain and troubleshoot Linux, and Windows server platforms Develop and enhance tools, reports and dashboards that help us build better insight into the performance of our applications Be on call with the ability to troubleshoot and support infrastructure issues 24/7 in a multi-tier application stack and an enterprise datacenter environment Work with 3rd party vendors to manage the identification and resolution of vendor issues Undertake day to day service requests for all applications Candidate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required 5-7 years experience required Broad knowledge of IT Systems engineering Experience with system capacity and planning, as well as functional configuration and audit Experience with system planning and capacity tools and analyses Requires experience with Privileged Identity Management systems (BeyondTrust experience most preferred). Strong skills in Microsoft Active Directory and OKTA also preferred. PowerShell Scripting knowledge - provided by Dice
