RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client, a healthcare startup (a fastest growing firm) in New York, NY is seeking a Software Engineer - Fullstack. This is a remote position. Across all of our products, we leverage clinical best practices to ensure individuals are getting the care they need. Summary: As a key member of firm's engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and owning the interfaces and services that power our products. You will work with our talented team of remote engineers, designers and product managers to build the systems that manage our member's care journey. If you love shipping software that delivers a deep and meaningful impact on people's mental and behavioral health, join us Essential Duties: Write clean, modular and efficient code across all layers of the stack Own features from implementation to release Identify software quality issues and refactor code when appropriate Implement high-quality test-driven code that passes automated tests Understand pre-existing functionality and debug defects Provide clear and actionable feedback in code reviews Help define and manage overall quality objectives for release increments Develop behavior-driven feature files, acceptance test scenarios and step definitions Implement high-quality test-driven source code that passes automated tests Achieve and maintain team defined quality thresholds that mitigate solution risks REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of hands-on experience with full-stack web development. 2 years of hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks. Strong experience with relational databases and SQL. Strong experience with NoSQL databases (document, column, graph, map-reduce). Experience and appreciation for test driven development. Experience with MVC, event-driven and/or lambda architecture patterns. Strong experience with internal/third party RESTful APIs. Competencies: Strong knowledge of OOP principles and at least one programming language; We use Javascript (React/Redux/Node.js), PHP (Laravel), Ruby (Rails) Experience transforming complex business logic into clean reusable backend services Experience with mobile-first responsive web development Graphical sense of design with an ability to take sketches and turn them into working UI Highly organized individual with great time management skills Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate across a growing distributed team Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
